The Allahabad High Court has requested the Uttar Pradesh government and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to provide information on the measures taken to halt the operation of coaching centres in schools. The court issued this order last week and set August 14 as the next hearing date, allowing the state government and the board to respond within 10 days.

Petition against Coaching Centres

The order was made by Justices M C Tripathi and Prashant Kumar in response to a petition filed by Manish Kumar Mishra. The petitioner alleged that private schools in the state are conducting coaching centres.

Manish Kumar Mishra sought a directive from the authorities to ensure strict compliance with the Uttar Pradesh Regulation of Coaching Act of 2002, aiming to address the issue of coaching centers operating within schools.
