RRB ALP Age Limit

To be eligible for the post of RRB ALP and Technician, the applicants must have a minimum age of 18 years and a maximum age of 28 years.

RRB ALP Selection process

There are several stages to the RRB ALP (Assistant Loco Pilot) selection process. Here is a quick rundown of the procedure:

CBT (Computer-Based Test) in the First Stage: This is an internet-based assessment that comprises of goal-type questions. The test tests the up-and-comer information in Math, General Knowledge and Thinking, General Science, and General Mindfulness. The term of the test is an hour.

Second Stage CBT: Part A tests the candidate’s understanding of mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning, basic science and engineering, and general awareness. Part B is an online version of this exam. Part B tests the competitor’s exchange abilities. The exam lasts two hours and thirty minutes.

CBAT, or Computer-Based Aptitude Test: This test is required for applicants for the position of ALP. The candidate’s cognitive abilities in areas like perception, spatial visualization, reasoning, and problem-solving are evaluated on the test.

Verification of the Document: Document verification is required of candidates who have passed the CBAT and the second stage of the CBT. Candidates are required to bring all relevant documents, including educational certificates, identity documents, caste certificates, and so on.

Clinical Assessment: A medical exam is the final step in the selection process. After passing the document verification stage, candidates must go through a medical exam to see if they are physically fit.

RRB ASSISTANT LOCO PILOT Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The RRB Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) exam is conducted in multiple stages. The following is the exam pattern and syllabus for each stage of the recruitment process:

1.    First Stage CBT (Computer-Based Test):

The first stage of CBT consists of 75 multiple-choice questions to be answered in 60 minutes. The questions are from the following sections:

   Mathematics: 20 Questions

•    General Intelligence and Reasoning: 25 Questions

•    General Science: 20 Questions

•    General Awareness and Current Affairs: 10 Questions
The questions are of matriculation level, and there is a negative marking of 1/3rd for each wrong answer.

2.    Second Stage CBT:

The second stage of CBT consists of two parts:

   Part A:

This section consists of 100 multiple-choice questions from the following sections:

•    Mathematics: 25 Questions

   General Intelligence and Reasoning: 25 Questions

•    Basic Science and Engineering: 40 Questions

•    General Awareness and Current Affairs: 10 Questions

 Part B:

This section is a trade-specific test, consisting of 75 multiple-choice questions from the relevant trade syllabus.

The total duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes, and there is a negative marking of 1/3rd for each wrong answer.

3.    Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT):

The CBAT is conducted for candidates who have applied for the ALP positions in the Electrical and Mechanical departments. The test is designed to assess the candidate’s cognitive abilities and ability to perform tasks related to the ALP job profile.

4.    Document Verification and Medical Examination:
