The CLAT Exam 2024
CLAT, which stands for the Common Law Admission Test, is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs offered by 22 National Law Universities (NLUs) in India. The exam is organized by the Consortium of National Law Universities, which is composed of representative universities. Additionally, several affiliated universities and organizations also utilize the CLAT exam for admissions and recruitment purposes.
Until 2018, the responsibility of conducting CLAT was rotated among the NLUs. However, starting from 2019, the exam is conducted by a permanent body known as the “Consortium of NLUs,” which was established by the NLUs. The headquarters of this consortium is located at NLSIU Bangalore.
For the academic year 2023-2024, all admissions to the 5-year integrated LL.B and LL.M. programs will be conducted through CLAT 2023.

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has recently declared that the CLAT 2024 examination will be conducted on December 3, 2023, in offline mode. The CLAT Exam Registration
The CLAT 2024 registration process will commence in the last week of July or the first week of August 2023, conducted by the Consortium of NLUs. Candidates will soon be able to access the CLAT 2024 application form through the official website of the NLU Consortium – consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Registered candidates who have completed the CLAT 2024 application fee payment will be able to update their test centre preferences until the second week of November 2023 (tentative).
CLAT Application Fee 2024: During the CLAT 2024 registration process, candidates are required to pay the CLAT application fee. The application fee for CLAT 2024 will be Rs. 4,000 for general applicants and Rs. 3,500 for SC and ST candidates.

The CLAT Exam Pattern
