Avantika University, Ujjain is India’s first design-based university which comes under the Maharashtra Institute of Technology group. This university was established by the Madhya Pradesh government. 

Avantika University offers courses in three departments including Design, Technology, and Fashion at UG and PG.

The UG courses at Avantika university feature B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and B.Des. in 5 specializations including Fashion Designing.
For admission to the B.Tech program, the JEE Main or any state-level entrances are accepted. Whereas the B.Des. courses accept admissions based on marks obtained by the students in MIT Aptitude Test Pune. 
At the postgraduate level, the University provides a Master of Design program under 4 specializations.
